Outdoorchef.ro is the official site of Romania’s representative for Outdoorchef grills, a world-famous brand.
Whether gas, charcoal or electric grills, OUTDOORCHEF is a world-renowned player in this field. Motivated by the growing number of grill users, Outdoorchef’s engineers and technicians pursue one goal: to further develop this barbecue culture with enthusiasm and passion for innovation.
The site provides customers with all the information they need to know this culture, ranging from various types of grills to accessories, recipes and technologies used to make Outdoorchef grills.
A brief presentation of the project
The client appealed to us because he was looking for a specialized OpenCart team that could migrate the old WordPress site to a new version of OpenCart, the platform they were familiar with.
The reasons for the migration were multiple, the most important being the response time on both frontend and backend, due to the many installed modules and the lack of optimization, as well as the infrastructure that was quite limited.
A brief analysis of the old site was made and various issues were identified, and then we created a checklist for making the new site and migrating the content.
The customer wanted to create a layout similar to the brand’s official website, a very important aspect, and we came up with design suggestions to create the best image of it and of course be user-friendly.
Another important aspect was adhering to the structure of categories and products, and the total migration of meta and SEO URLs in order not to affect the SEO side and to avoid 404 pages. The WordPress structure being somewhat different from OpenCart, we had to do various redirecting rules to make everything all right.
After completing the migration of products and content, we made various implementations, created new functions at the client’s request, optimized the store management (products, orders, modules, etc.) and we also did a complete On-page on the SEO side, an aspect which was missing in the old site.
The final result was one to the taste of the customer and of course according to the requirements, also being very satisfied with the collaboration and the trust.
