Gunnars.ro is the official distributor in Romania of computer protection glasses made by Gunnar Optiks LLC, USA. It is an online store that sells a wide range of computer glasses that protect and improve vision, and relieve eye fatigue caused by long-term use of your computer or other digital screens (laptop, tablet, smartphone, tv).
Gunnar glasses are made of innovative, quality materials that provide a clearer, more precise view, block the artificial light reflections and reduce fatigue. Gunnar Optiks is the world leader in computer glasses and is present in 38 countries, including Romania.
A brief presentation of the project
In collaboration with our SEO partner, Digiteria.ro, we succeeded in making a complete migration and a modern design of the gunnars.ro online store that was built on the Magento platform.
Our team came up with the proposal to migrate the entire store on the OpenCart 2.x platform, because the Magento platform ran on a fairly old version that required a major update, the loading time was over 3 seconds, the design was not 100% responsive and had various bugs in the order completion page, a fatal aspect for an online store.
Our team, with careful supervision of our colleagues from digiteria, started the complete migration of the old store (products, categories, information pages, functionalities) in the two languages, Romanian/English, with the objective of keeping the link structure and the meta to avoid damaging the SEO.
Although it was a complex project that required a lot of attention, we managed to import and implement everything successfully, giving it a new face in the online environment, while the customer can enjoy a modern, bug free shop, the goal being to sell.
